Doe River Baptist
Doe River Baptist Church, 113 Avon St., will have its monthly food pantry Wednesday, May 25, at 6 p.m.
Those in need of food are invited to attend.
Siam Baptist
The Children’s Choir of Siam Baptist Church, 2414 Siam Road, will present the musical “King of the Jungle” Sunday at 6 p.m.
The musical, created by Celeste Clydesdale and arranged by David Clydesdale, explains how we can learn a lot about God by looking at His handiwork in creation. One very important truth discovered in the musical is that the God of creation can also be the Lord of our heart.
Everyone is invited to attend, bring a friend, and enjoy the musical. For more information call 542-8789.
First Christian
First Christian Church will offer an in-person worship service Sunday at 9:45 a.m. as well as a live radio service on 90.5 FM in the church parking lot. The morning worship service is posted on Facebook at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Wednesday night Bible study is at 6 p.m. A new series “Drive Thru History: Acts to Revelations” by David Stotts is underway. The congregation invites the public to attend.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St., will have both an in-person and online service Sunday at 11 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Fishing Advice” based on Psalm 1.
The Adult Form and Youth Group will meet in person.
Also, Adult Forum, Wednesday Meditation, and Thursdays with Jesus will meet online.
Borderview Christian
Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, will host Rocky Railway Vacation Bible School beginning Sunday, May 22, and continuing through Wednesday, May 25, from 6 to 8:20 p.m.
The railroad theme is subtitled “Jesus Power Pulls Us Through,” and will explore the lives of Paul, Peter, John, and, of course, Jesus. The children will travel to different railway communities for worship, learning, crafts, food, and recreation each evening.
The VBS is designed for ages four through fifth grade.
