Volunteers are needed to help clean up the KCCB adopted highway for the spring cleanup event.
The event will kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Happy Valley Elementary School’s parking lot on Milligan Highway.
Roadside litter will be picked up on Milligan Highway from Powder Branch Road to Okolona Road.
Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately for the pickup and to bring water and gloves. KCCB will be providing trash bags, grabbers, and safety vests.
Also, if volunteers do not have gloves and water, those items will also be provided if needed. The event will comply with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) guidelines.
Registration for the event can be completed at www.kccbtn.org/events. Volunteers are asked to provide their name, email address, and the event name they are volunteering for.
A TDOT safety video on the “Events” page is required to be viewed prior to participating in the event. The video has important safety information.
All volunteers will be required to sign a TDOT release form at the event prior to participating.
