Tornado watches were lifted around 8 p.m. Friday evening but not before a line of storms left their mark in Carter County.
Reports came of downed trees, heavy rain along with vivid lightning and high winds passing through the area between 5 and 8 p.m. City workers removed a downed tree on Parkway Boulevard.
A 60% chance of rain is in the forecast overnight and into Saturday.
