Senator Rusty Crowe presented Amy Clark with a proclamation signed by Rand McNally, Speaker of the Senate, honoring Clark for her dedication and work as a correctional officer. The proclamation noted that Clark is continually striving to improve her knowledge in the field of corrections and holds national certifications with the American Correctional Association, the American Jail Association, and the National Gang Academy. It further noted that Clark has devoted her career to serving her fellow citizens, and from the time she was young volunteered with her church youth group and with the Special Olympics, and became a spokesman for her school’s DARE program. Clark became a correctional officer in 2005 and in 2016 was honored as Jail Administrator of the Year by the Tennessee Corrections Institute.
