Veronica Ellen Hensz Sluder passed away at her home in Elizabethton, Tenn., on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Veronica was born in Port Jervis, N.Y., on February 22, 1959, the daughter of the late Louis and Meta Lass Hensz. Her loving and devoted husband of 28 years, Basil Eugene “Gene” Sluder, of the home, survives her.
Veronica was a homemaker and an avid Word Search Puzzle solver. She was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Luanne Hensz, and two brothers, Timothy Hensz and Joseph Hensz.
Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband are three sisters, Kathleen Suchinski of Burlington, Conn., Theresa Wilson of Titusville, Fla., and Susan Tabor of Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Delores Behrens and Dorothy Fullen, both of New Freedom, Pa.; and one brother-in-law, Bill Sluder of Bristol, Tenn. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
A family and friends gathering to honor Veronica will be held on Thursday, April 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton, Tenn. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
