William “Lucky” Watts, age 62, of Roan Mountain, Tennessee went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Vanderbilt University. Lucky was born in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Dorothy Adams Watts. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister.
Lucky was a plumber’s assistant and was a faithful and active member of Roan Park Baptist Church where he also was the church’s song leader. In his spare time, Lucky enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rita Watts; two daughters, Michelle (Jerry) Holsclaw and Tiffany (Matt) Laws; his brother, Troy Watts; a grandson, Trevor Laws; a granddaughter, Lakken Townsend; a great-grandson, Rexx Coggins; and two special brothers in Christ, Kim Barnett and Sonny Burleson.
A service to honor the life of William “Lucky” Watts will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Holly officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Wednesday.
The family would like to especially thank the ICU Staff at Vanderbilt University for the exceptional care shown to Lucky during his illness.
