The East Tennessee Children’s Home Academy (ETCHA) recently held one of their largest fundraisers, the Scott Ramsey Memorial, at the Elizabethton Golf Course as 94 golfers converged on the course in an effort to support the efforts of the home.
By the end of the day, there was a little over $30,000 raised.
“The outpouring from the community and support was amazing it was just a beautiful day and a great time for all,” said Ron Marvel – ETCHA Director of Development. “ I can’t say thank you enough for our sponsors these dollars will make a huge difference for children and families in our community.”
Mitzi Ward and Butch Andes of the Elizabethton Moose Lodge were the mixed winners of the event as the pair fired a round of 77. In the Men’s bracket, Issac Ball and Zac Willis completed a low round with a score of 58 to take that division.
Senior winners on the day were Tom Morrison and Ray Presnell who came into the clubhouse with a score of 71. In women’s action, Cathy Harper and Cathy Ross finished the course with a low score of 71.
The longest drive was presented to James Ingram while the closest to the hole winner was Bo Deaton and the Outstanding Junior Player was Chad Frazier.
Marvel wished to thank sponsors James Crouch Garage Services, Dave’s Waves and Pools, Trinity Marble and Granite, and Williams and Son Siding and Guttering.
