Sallie Biles has been named the new Youth and Children’s Director at Borderview Christian Church. She joined the church ministry staff this month.
Sallie, a native of Johnson City, attended Science Hill High School, East Tennessee State University, and Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan. She has a Bachelor’s degree in social work as well as a Master’s degree in Divinity. Prior to coming to Borderview Chrisian, Sallie served as a social and Food Programs Director at Good Samaritan Ministries.
Sallie also completed an internship at the Department of Veterans Affairs in the chaplaincy department and served as a paid staff member at Appalachian Christian Camp filling various roles, and served on the full-time staff as the guest relations coordinator.
She is currently active in her sorority alumnae chapter and serves as an advisor to the collegiate chapter. Sallie serves as a mentor to the collegiate women and enjoys this unique ministry opportunity. She has years of experience serving in youth and children’s ministry.
In her free time Sallie enjoys traveling with her family, especially to Walt Disney World in Florida.
