More administrative changes made in Carter County Schools

The Carter County School system has announced further administrative promotions and additions after earlier changes that saw previous administrative changes resulting in moves to the Central Office.
The following changes were announced:
Dr. Sharon Necessary, Principal- Unaka High School
Dr. Sharon Necessary joins the Carter County Schools’ administrative team as the Principal at Unaka High School. Most recently Dr. Necessary served as Assistant Principal of Chucky Doak High School in Greene County.
Dr. Necessary has over 21 years of experience in education as a CTE culinary arts teacher, Career and Technical Education program consultant for the Tennessee Department of Education, and high school administrator.
Dr. Necessary graduated from Hampton High School in 1992. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University in Family and Consumer Sciences, a Master’s degree from Jones International University in Educational Leadership and Administration, and a Doctorate degree from Liberty University in Educational Leadership.
Mr. Aaron Dugger, Assistant Principal- Unaka High School
Mr. Aaron Dugger assumes the role of Assistant Principal at Unaka High School.
Mr. Dugger has lived and served the Stoney Creek Community for many years. In his fifteen years of experience, Dugger has successfully served as a classroom teacher, coach, and athletic director.
He also serves on the TSSAA A.F. Bridges Committee.
Dugger holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Lees- McRae College and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln
Memorial University.
Mr. Brandon Young, Assistant Principal- Happy Valley Middle School
Mr. Brandon Young will assume the role of Assistant Principal at Happy Valley Middle School after having served as an elementary school teacher and as a school counselor in Mitchell County, North Carolina for 9 years, and as the school counselor at Cloudland Elementary in Carter County for the past 10 years.
Young has 19 years of experience in the education system.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lees-McRae College and a 60 hour Master’s degree in counseling from Western Carolina University.
Mr. Young is currently furthering his education at Austin Peay University. He has served as the senior pastor at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Hampton for the past 13 years.
Mr. Young loves living, working, and recreating in Carter County, and looks forward to meeting and assisting more students and families in our
community.
Dr. Paul Blair, Assistant Principal- Happy Valley High School
Dr. Paul Blair has been selected as the next Assistant Principal at Happy Valley High School. Dr. Blair has been a successful high school and middle school classroom teacher in areas of science and ELA since moving to Northeast Tennessee with his wife and son in 2004.
In addition to his classroom position, Dr. Blair has coached and served as faculty advisor for robotics and underwater robotics teams. He comes to Carter County Schools from Johnson City Schools where he has most recently served as a classroom teacher as well as the GAP Lab
teacher helping at-risk seniors finish their high school diploma requirements on time for graduation.
Dr. Blair holds an Ed.D. from Milligan College in Educational Leadership. In addition, he has earned an M.Ed from Milligan College in
Curriculum and Instruction, and he holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, Stanislaus.
