Project Move, Create Appalachia and Elizalliance announce “COLLIDE” for a big collaboration on May 14th from 5-9! The event will utilize the after hours atmosphere to bring you an evening to remember. Enjoy a variety of street music, arts, entertainment and of course, amazing food trucks! Project Move believes strongly in the power of collaboration and understands a strong resilient community is built by connecting its people to the resources available and providing engaging activities and options for everyone to shop, dine, play and stay!
Peaceful Playtimes and Play It Forward will team up to bring the fun for Gathering Hub activities! The heart of our downtown will be pumping out performances, face painting, and other surprises. You never know what to expect at The Gathering Hub!
Special guest, The Local Fat Boy, will be at J’s Corner to get a taste of Elizabethton! He will be going live to give you the inside scoop of the best eats! Stop by and say hi and tell him what other local spots he should visit next.
Watch what happens when a group of Movers join forces to collide and collaborate! Create Appalachia is a resourceful engine for economic development, incubating and accelerating new businesses that provide jobs for creatives. Create Appalachia provides professional development opportunities for artists, artisans, and other creatives. They also provide access to the arts through showcases, events, and experiences. Elizabethton will be one of the recipients during Evenings On Elk to participate, create and experience The Tiny Art Throwdown street competition. The purpose is to use unappreciated features in streetscapes to reimagine art. With the support of the Elizalliance, the arts will be celebrated and the town will be painted with creativity! The “Elizalliance” has modestly and diligently worked on many vibrant projects you see all around town! Their dedication to positively act on behalf of the arts for a future vibrant with artists creating the needed culture that is diverse, robust, healthy and inclusive.
