On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, our beloved Angela “Angie” Whittington passed away suddenly at the age of 63.
Angie was born on October 28, 1958 in Augusta, Ga. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt and dear friend to so many. She lived her life caring for and loving those near to her. She was a wonderful cook and loved to cook for others and entertain. She loved being outdoors and gardening and taking trips to the beach and the lake. She graduated from Elizabethton High School. She worked hard her entire life and took pride in everything she did.
Angie will be forever loved and remembered by her brother, Shady Smith Jr. and his wife Terry Saunders; her nieces and nephews, Heather Nobles (Chris), Shady Travis Smith, Tiffany Saunders; and her dear friend, Mary Hilton. She was a special Aunt Angie to Keyan and Braydin Bare.
Angela was preceded in death by her husband, David Whittington, and her parents, Novella Ann and Shady Smith Sr.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 19, at 5 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton with Dr. Alan King officiating.
