Keep Carter County Beautiful will sponsor an Earth Day – Fourth Annual Great American Cleanup project Saturday, April 17, along the Tweetsie Trail in Elizabethton.
Missy Marshall, the Director of Keep America Beautiful, will join the local group for the event, which will begin at 9 a.m. in the parking lot next to the Recycle Center off Elk Avenue at the Lions Ball Park. 
Those attending are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and snacks. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
All volunteers are expected to wear protective facial coverings and follow CDC social distance guidelines. After the event there will be group pictures taken and selected gifts for participants. Those who have made anti-littering signs are asked to bring them and carry them along the trail for awareness about litter.
