Mrs. Carol Ann Church Howard, 78, of Concord, N.C., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 5, 2021, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Howard was born June 14, 1942 in Hampton, Tenn. She was a daughter of the late Cline Church and Dollie Morton Church. She was a member of Miami Baptist Church.
Mrs. Howard taught school for 21 years at Kannapolis Middle School. She also was on the National Board of Certified Teachers.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Rev. Robert Dallas Howard; her son, Barry R. Howard and wife Sabrina of Matthews, N.C.; her daughter, Donna Howard Belk and husband Randy of Lincolnton, N.C.; three grandchildren, Christopher Olin Belk, Macie Caroline Belk and Samuel Robert Dallas Howard; brothers, Gene Church and Glenn Church and wife Joyce, all of Elizabethton, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon on Friday, April 9, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The committal and entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miami Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Linda Eliff, 6701 Miami Church Road, Concord, NC 28025.
