St. Thomas Episcopal Church will have an on-the Lawn Easter Sunday at 11 a.m. at 815 Second Street in the City’s “Old Town” Historic District. “We will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ 2000 years ago and today in our own lives and that we pray, of our community and world,” said Father Timothy Holder, priest and pastor. St. Thomas’ “Doe River Ensemble” will provide Bluegrass and Appalachian music along with the Parish-singing of traditional Easter hymns known to all. Children will be given Easter gifts prepared by St. Thomas. COVID-19 protocols of masks and distancing will also be respected. “Bring a lawn chair and come sit and praise God for a while in this beautiful space of our home of Elizabethton,” invited Senior Warden, Carol Brodeur. “We welcome everybody and we mean everybody — all God’s children!”
