A two-vehicle crash on Highway 91 in Roan Mountain at the intersection of Buck Creek Road on Wednesday night resulted in a fatality.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s report, around 8:47 p.m., Jerry Stout, 67, driver of a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, was traveling north on US Highway 19E when he crossed the center left turning lane and traveled into the southbound lane striking a 2001 Ford Focus driven by Kevin Whitehead, 51, in the driver side area.
Whitehead died on the scene. Stout was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication.
