Mrs. Nina Gail Campbell Stout, 79, of Catawba, N.C., passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born October 9, 1941 in Carter County, Tenn., to the late Baxter Campbell and Pauline White Campbell.
Mrs. Stout was a member of Startown Baptist Church and retired from E.R. Carpenter after 22 years of service as a supervisor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dearl “Gene” Stout, and her brother, Walter Campbell.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, William Gene Stout and wife Loretta and Joey Stout and wife Lisa, all of Catawba, N.C.; daughters, Ann Caskey and husband Terry of Newton, Lois Propst and husband Kenneth of Hickory and Charlie Rinehardt and husband Greg of Startown; five granddaughters, Amy Mull, Kayla Tollie, Betsy Laws, Jenna Savovic and Kristina Bohne; three grandsons, J. William Stout, Kurtis Stout and Cody Stout; and three great-grandsons, Bentley Bohne, Banks Bohne and Liam Stout. Four nephews and one niece also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, in the Burke Mortuary Chapel with Rev. William Church officiating. Interment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
