TCAT — Graduation for December practical nursing graduates at TCAT Elizabethton will be different this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following CDC guidelines, the Dec. 16 graduation event is not open to the general public. Only five family guests may be invited per student and face masks will be required, according to Kathy Bullen, practical nursing director.
“Wednesday, Dec. 16, beginning at 5:30 p.m. there will be a staggered ‘walk-through’ pinning in the auditorium of the Administration Building on the Main Campus. Students will be instructed to arrive at staggered times allowing for them to exit their vehicle for a short time — entering through one door of the auditorium and exiting through another — only stopping long enough to get pinned, take a few pictures and then move on,” Bullen said.
The event was planned to be held inside due to unpredictable weather outside.
