For the second time this season due to COVID cancellations, the T.A. Dugger Jr. High boys played host to KACHEA for basketball action at T.A. Dugger, and for the second consecutive time, the Jr. Cyclones came out in front by a 46-21 score.

The Jr. Cyclones got off to a fast start in the first quarter behind an eight-point outburst from Jeriah Griffin that propelled TAD out front at the end of the quarter, 14-5.

Andrew Barnett and Rhett Slagle dropped in a trey apiece to aid the cause of the Jr. Cyclones.

The second period was tighter as the Wildcats battled to stay within range of TAD as the Jr. Cyclones managed only eight points in the period while KACHEA totaled six.

Jackson Buckles with four points helped the Jr. Cyclones build a 22-11 halftime edge. Griffin and Barnett also totaled a deuce leading up to the intermission.

Coming out of the locker room, the Jr. Cyclones picked right back up where they left off as they went on to outscore the Wildcats 24-10 to seal the victory.

Griffin finished the contest with 10 points, five rebounds, and four steals to show the Jr. Cyclones the way to the victory. Barnett also had a solid contest as he tallied eight points, four steals, and three assists.

Buckles registered six points and owned the boards by pulling down eight rebounds. Nicholas Shields added four points.

Other contributing performers for TAD were Colby Blevins (2 pts., 3 assists), Slagle (3), Justin Whitehead (3), Kaden Gouge (3 pts.,3 steals), Isaiah Adams (2 pts., 3 rebounds), Brayden Buckles (2 pts.), and Ben Adams (1 pt.).

KACHEA was led by Glover with seven points while Joyner and Franklin accounted for five points each.
