ETSU athletics to hold virtual 5K run/walk

JOHNSON CITY – Buccaneer fans, lace up your sneakers and participate in the ETSU Athletics Virtual 5K Run/Walk to be held Oct. 24-Nov. 1. Proceeds from this event will benefit our “All Hands on Deck” Commitment to Excellence initiative.

“The ETSU Athletics Virtual 5K Run/Walk is a fun, unique, yet special opportunity that enables us to race for a cause, while engaging with our ETSU family during these challenging times,” said ETSU Associate Director for External Operations Calvin Claggett.

Participate for the race anytime between Oct. 24 thru Nov. 1
Run/walk whenever and wherever you prefer
The cost for the 5K is $35; Bucky Mile for kids is $25
Each registrant will receive a custom ETSU neck gaiter and race bib … Neck gaiters and bib mailing begins Oct. 19 (please allow 3-5 business days to receive)

Proceeds from this event will support the “All Hands on Deck” Commitment to Excellence Initiative, which is designed to support our student-athletes and athletic department as we push through the challenges created by COVID-19.

With the “All Hands on Deck” approach, donations of any amount can help make a difference. These gifts will directly benefit scholarships, student-athlete development, health and safety services, recruiting, nutrition, academics, strength and conditioning, and the continuation of the complete student-athlete experience.
