The Elizabethton Cyclones remained as the top team in the state in voting by the Tennessee AP-member sportswriters and broadcasters. The Cyclones are undefeated at 4-0 heading into this week’s contest with Cherokee.
 
Hampton’s Bulldogs broke the Top 10 this week coming in at #10 after their bye week and sporting a 3-0 record. 
 
Other local teams include Dobyns-Bennett (3) and Science Hill (10) in Class 6A, Sullivan South (10) in Class 4A, and South Greene (9) and Hampton (10) in Class 2A.
