Mrs. Joyce Estep DeLoach, formerly of Hampton, went to be with her Lord on August 26, 2020, in Southampton, Pa.
Mrs. DeLoach was born in Carden’s Bluff, Hampton, Tenn., in January 1930, and was the daughter of the late James W. and Flossie White Estep. She and her family moved to Levittown, Pa., in 1960 and lived there 40 years before she moved to Southampton Estates, where she made many friends and resided for 20 years.
Mrs. DeLoach loved God and eagerly shared her faith with others. She taught Sunday School for many years. Every card or letter she wrote ended with these words: “His love and mine;” her faith was defined by Psalm 62:5-8: “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.” She memorized hundreds of Bible verses. A highlight of Mrs. DeLoach’s Christian life was visiting Israel a few years ago.
Blessed with creative talent, Mrs. DeLoach designed and sold greeting cards, crocheted butterflies for pins and magnets, planted flower gardens around her home and arranged flowers for special occasions. She passed along her love of birds, nature, flowers, gardening, and God to her daughter, Lucy, who is forever grateful for this legacy.
Mrs. DeLoach is survived by her loving daughter, Lucy (John) Webster of Kingman, Ariz. One grandchild, five great-grandchildren, three nieces, and one nephew also survive.
Mrs. DeLoach was preceded in death by her husband Richard, son Gregory, and a grandchild as well as five sisters, Ora White, Hazel Jackson, Madolin Ward, Doris Estep and Iva Holder, and two brothers, Carl (Bill) Estep and Stanley Estep.
Cremation arrangements by James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Penndel, Pa.
No services are planned.
