Let’s hear it for the band… ‘Betsy Band working hard in preparation for a new football season

Everyone gets excited thinking about a new football season and talks about all the hard work put in by football teams to prepare for a new season.
But there is another team that works just as hard in preparation for the new season that many aside from the parents and families of these team members remember to thank for their hard work and dedication.
That team is members of the band.
Elizabethton opens football season Friday night against Science Hill and just like the Cyclone football team, the band has been honing their musical talents in anticipation of the game.
Mr. Perry Elliott, the Elizabethton High School band director, had his team on the field Monday evening as they put the finishing touches on their performance for this year.
While there will not be a lot in attendance, the ‘Betsy Band will give it their all in support of the Cyclone football program and to proudly represent the community who might be listening from near or far.
