Effective June 26, 2020, the Tennessee Supreme Court disbarred William E. McManus Jr., of Washington County, from the practice of law.
McManus consented to disbarment acknowledging he could not successfully defend the charges alleged in a complaint filed against him with the Board. McManus’ conduct violated Rules of Professional Conduct 8.4(a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) (Misconduct).
McManusmust comply with the requirements of Tennessee Supreme CourtRule 9, Sections 28 and 30.4, regarding the obligations and responsibilities of disbarredattorneysand may not return to the active practice of law until an order of reinstatement has beenenteredby the Supreme Court.
