Richard Elwood Porch, 78, Blountville, Tenn., passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at his residence.
A native of Anaconda, Mont., he was a son of the late William and Jeanne Roeder Porch.
Richard had lived in East Tennessee for a number of years and had served in the National Guard. Richard until his retirement was a District Manager for Wal-Mart and then was able to pursue his love for golf. He was a member of the Palmetto Street Church of God in South Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Porch, and his step-father, Ernest Alford.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Cecelia Ann Hickman Porch; three children, Dennis (Lindsey) Porch, Christopher (Brandi) Porch and Courtney (Garrett) Brittain; his step-children, Randi (Brian) Teaster, Matthew (Rebecca) Lovelace, Travis (Megan) Jack and Miranda Lovelace; 17 grandchildren; his brothers, Steve (Carol) Porch, Dave Alford and Guy Alford; his mother-in-law, JoAnn Hickman Cantrell and her husband Stanley; his brothers and sisters-in-law, John Duty, Mary Ling and Sherry Palmieri; several nieces and nephews; his very special friend, William “Bill” Morin;  and his beloved dog Toby.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, May 16, at Sims Hill Christian Church with Mr. Eddie Brittain and Mr. Bill Morin officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Bobby McGee. Active pallbearers will be Connor Porch, Nicholas Porch, Justin Porch, Garrett Brittain, John Duty, Ethan Teaster, Matthew Lovelace and Brian Teaster. The family would like to express a special Thank You to the staff of Avalon Hospice. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday or Saturday morning.
