Victoria “Vicky” Ann Daugherty, 63, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center, after a long hard fight with her illness. Vicky was born in Michigan to the late Charles Brown Garland and Helen Virginia Oliver Garland.
Vicky worked for Dr. Scott Caudill in Elizabethton and also had worked in the psychiatry division as a medical assistant. She enjoyed reading Steven King novels, painting and drawing.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memories include her husband of 30 years, Jerry Daugherty, of the home; her children, Johnny Byers Jr. of Elizabethton, Sidney Byers of Roan Mountain, and Rebecca Byers of Florida; her step-daughter, Jennifer Daugherty; a special granddaughter, Harper Smith, who was the light of her life; a sister, Penny Garland of Johnson City; and a brother, Charles Leroy Garland of Piney Flats. Several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
