Our precious mother, Charlotte Virginia Surcey, 80, of Johnson City, passed away at Johnson City Medical Center on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. She joins her husband, James, and youngest son, Roger, forever in heaven.
A native of Johnson City, she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Glover Bowman.
Charlotte is survived by her children, two sons, David Surcey and Carroll Surcey, and three daughters, Pam Taylor, Dianna Carroll and Linda Surcey; a sister, Jewell Harris; five brothers, Troy, Robert, Lawrence, Steven and Roy Bowman; grandchildren, Todd, Ashley, Tosha, Dustin, Courtney and Colton; and great-grandchildren, Lucas, Landon, Dillan, Gage, Peyton, Bryson, Leighton, Lennix, Caiden, Cooper and Liam — all of whom she loved very much.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Washington County Memory Gardens under the direction of Minister Robert Bowman (her brother). Pallbearers will be Charlie Harris, Chuck Harris, Colton Surcey, Michael Bowman, Wendell Loving and Devin Peters.
