In Friday’s edition of the Elizabethton Star Sports, there were two photos that were used in the Happy Valley Lighting of the Valley story that was not credited properly.
The photo of the Happy Valley football field and the baseball and softball fields were taken by Danny Davis with Carter County Sports. The photos were pulled from a Facebook site not associated with Carter County Sports and the Star was unaware that they belonged to Mr. Davis and Carter County Sports.
We deeply regret not giving the proper credit for the photos and will make compensation to Mr. Davis for the photos that were published. We have also updated our website and made corrections to the story.
The Elizabethton Star values our relationship with fellow publications as we want to be professional and ethical in all we do. Our sincere apologies are extended to Mr. Davis and Carter County Sports for our error.
