Jonathan Jacob Pritchard

Jonathan Jacob Pritchard, 34, passed away peacefully at his home in Concord, N.C., on March 8, 2020. He was a native of Roan Mountain, Tenn., and the son of Samuel Terry Pritchard and Carol Oxendine Abbate. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hobert and Oline Pritchard, and his maternal grandmother, Louise Shell Oxendine.
Those left to cherish his life are his parents; two sisters, Ericka and husband Shawn Dillingham and Elisha and husband Richard Sheppard; grandfather, Hassell Oxendine (of the home); three nephews, Eli and Josh Dillingham and Stanton Sheppard; Aunt Cathy (of the home); cousin, Krystle and husband Darrell Smith (of the home); along with other special aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was a member of New Testament Independent Baptist Church of Kannapolis, N.C., and enjoyed sports and the outdoors.
The service for Jon will be held on Saturday, March 14, at New Testament Independent Baptist Church, 5140 Irish Potato Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. with the service to follow conducted by Pastor Bobby Utley and Rev Tom Radish. The graveside service will then be held immediately following in the church’s cemetery. Pallbearers for Jon are Shawn Dillingham, Richard Sheppard II, Zac Cook, Logan Buck, Tim Eudy, Tony Kiker and Darrell Whitley. Honorary pallbearers are Eli Dillingham, Josh Dillingham, Stanton Sheppard, Julian Burleson and the men of New Testement Independent Baptist Church. A special thank you to all those who loved and cared for Jon. He will be very missed by all those who remember his “Possum” grin!
