Robert Dean Blevins

Robert Dean Blevins, 88, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 28, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1931 in Elizabethton to the late William and Lottie Blevins.
Mr. Blevins loved working on antique clocks, building grandfather clocks, going to the flea market, stopping at yard sales, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Foy, Clyde, Bessie and Roberta.
Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 62 years, Etta Marie Blevins (Taylor); three children, Lisa, Chris and Robbie Blevins; six grandchildren, Matthew Baird, Logan Blevins, Lakeisha Schuettler, Blake, Andrew and Tobe Blevins; a special nephew, Ronnie Blevins; and special friends, Denny Grindstaff and Jerry Carden.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all of the staff at Ballad Health, Amedisys Home Health, and Hospice for taking care of him during his final days.
A service to celebrate the life of Dean will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Nick Colbaugh and Ray Colbaugh officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, St. Jude, or Jericho Shrine.
