Marcella Odom celebrated her 95th birthday on Saturday, February 1, 2020, with family and friends.

She was born in Ashland, Ky., and has lived in Carter County for over 80 years.

Marcella was married to the late Luther Odom.

She has four sons, Luther Odom and wife Sharon of Kingsport, Larry Odom and wife Rose Marie of Duluth, Ga., Gary Odom of Nashville, and Bobby Odom (deceased) and wife Nadine of Elizabethton.

In addition to her 13 grandchildren, she has 12 great-grandchildren.

Marcella is a member of Doe River Baptist Church.

She worked for Carter County Schools for 43 years and retired as cafeteria manager at Valley Forge Elementary.
