Diane Kelly Webb Barfield

Diane Kelly Webb Barfield, 85, of Elizabethton, Tenn., born May 2, 1934, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Elizabethton following complications from surgery. She was an active, fun loving person. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Kelly and Letha Robinson Kelly.
Diane was a very vibrant, classy and sweet lady. She was employed by Leta’s Specialty Shop/Merle Norman for 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was also a member of The Birthday Club and the Elizabethton Dance Club. Diane loved people and if you knew her you loved her too. Her grandchildren called her “The” Nana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Webb; a son, Scott Webb; and a brother, Duane Kelly.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lynwood Barfield; children, Vickie Webb Sutherland, Kelly Webb and Lt. Cmdr. USN, Bart Webb; grandchildren, Natalie Seabolt, Nicole Street, Dylan Seabolt, Ashley Webb and Julie Street; a lifetime friend, Leta Hale; brothers, Ronald Kelly and Roger Kelly; and sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Kelly, Sandy Kelly, Linda Webb and Phyllis Webb. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Diane Kelly Webb Barfield will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Raymond Amos officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. David Arney. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the funeral service. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Kelly Webb, Bart Webb, Randall Sutherland, Andy Seabolt, Kevin Street and John Monica. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Seabolt, Brian Kelly, Jeff Kelly, Greg Kelly, David Kelly, Mike Kelly and Rob Kelly. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to Happy Valley Memorial Park. The family would like to express a special thank you to Ivy Hall Nursing Home and Avalon Hospice for their care to Diane in her final days.
