The Julius Dugger-John Carter Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library at 10:15 a.m. Don Holt, Naturalist at Steele Creek Nature Center, will give a presentation on “Wild Gardens.” Don is a font of knowledge on everything in the natural world. The public is invited, as well as anyone interested in joining the DAR, to attend this meeting and very informative program.

Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va., will hold a Fish and Chicken Meal at 4 p.m. The meal will be served with lots of traditional sides, a large variety of homemade desserts, and drinks.
