Bertha Ann Rinke Dison

Bertha Ann Rinke Dison, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness.
A native of Altus, Ark., she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Frances Joerger Rinke.
Mrs. Dison had lived in Elizabethton since November of 1972, moving here from Knoxville, Tenn. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies were her grandchildren and sewing. Mrs. Dison was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Wesley “Gene” Dison, who passed away August 9, 1998, and a sister.
Survivors include her children, Theresa (Fred) Rice, Jonesborough, Joan Elaine Dison, Johnson City, Mark (Beth) Dison and Larry (Krista) Dison, all of Jonesborough, and Bill (Angela) Dison, of the home; eight grandchildren, Tonya Arnold, Christopher Dison, Nicholas Dison, Torey Crane, Parker Dison, Molly Dison, Adam Rice and Wesley Dison; six great-grandchildren; seven sisters; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Bertha Dison will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, February 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Father Dennis Kress officiating. Music will be provided by Jane Walker. The graveside service and interment will be at noon Friday, February 28, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 11:50 a.m. Friday, will be grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Torey Crane and Parker Dison. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 11:50 a.m. Friday.
