Ruby D. Bice

Ruby D. Bice, 77, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John and Connie Wilson Markland.
Ruby was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bice Sr.; two sisters, Hattie Wilson and Mary Ruth Markland; and three brothers, Ray, Carl and Johnny Jack Markland.
Survivors include her children, Bobby Bice and Sirena Bryer and husband Dennis; five grandchildren, Deltyn Bryer, William Bryer, Hope Bryer, Denise Bryer and Audrey Bryer; one half brother, Ken Markland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Siebenaler, minister, and the Rev. Charles Cable officiating. Music will be provided by Ray Don Markland and the Sounds of Victory. Interment will follow in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Deltyn Bryer, William Bryer, Dennis Bryer, Larry McKinney, Howell Wiseman and Chris Flannery. Honorary pallbearers will be Hope Bryer, Audrey Bryer, Denise Bryer, Russell Kyte, Arvil McKinney, Johnny Loveless, Ronnie Ensor, Jeff McKinney, Vernon Vines and Leonard Roy Wilson. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of the ER at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
