Ronnie Buckles

Ronnie Buckles, 72, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Floyd and Hazel Guinn Buckles.
Ronnie was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. He was an electrician and former member of the Tennessee National Guard. He was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time outdoors on his land, studying local history and telling jokes and playing pranks on his family.
Survivors include his children, Donna Mosley and husband Robert and Joey Buckles; grandchildren, Taylor Spurling, Emma Mosley, Aaron Buckles, Justin Buckles and Alex Buckles; his siblings, Kathy Poole and Barbara Fair; and his nieces, Ashley Walsh and Tabitha Fair.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, January 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. The graveside service will be conducted at noon Friday, January 17, in the Cochran Cemetery (Fairview Community) with the Rev. Donald Page officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. Friday, will be Joey Buckles, Rob Mosley, Aaron Buckles, Justin Buckles, Alex Buckles and Mike Guinn.
