“Let your light shine before others…” Matthew 5:16
Jacob Dean Fulton, of Johnson City, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 9, 2020. Jacob was born on December 29, 2006 to Dean and Kim Fulton. He was the light of their lives.
Jacob was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethton. Jacob was in the 7th Grade at TA Dugger Junior High School where he played the trumpet in the Betsy Band. He was also a member of the Robotics Team. He loved history and science and he enjoyed building Legos and recreating new machines. He always loved to build. He planned one day to build a “clone army” of robots. His laugh was infectious and when he smiled his eyes gleamed with joy.
Jacob was a faithful member of BSA Troop 516. He began his adventure on scouting in the 1st Grade and we enjoyed watching him grow up with his den. He went on tremendous adventures with the scouts.
He never met a stranger. He was a bubbly, outgoing, loving and very tender hearted boy. Even though he towered over his mama by the age of 10, he was always her “Little One.” Jacob always loved to sing and dance. He is now dancing with Jesus.
Jacob preceded his mother and father, Dean and Kim; his Nana, Norma Hayes; Granddad, Harold Hayes and wife Mary (Greeneville); sister, Katie Vanover and husband Michael Vanover; nephews and niece, Braydon, Carter, Delaney and Oliver Vanover; Aunt, Kathryn Langley and husband Shaun Langley; Uncle Jerry and wife Jeannie Williams and family; Aunt Katy Seib and husband George, (Atlanta, Ga.); very special cousins, Paul, Daniel and Rachel Langley, and Noah and Emma Seib; and his best friend, Colin Phillips. He made so many friends during his life.
Jacob was preceded by great-grandmother, Inez Cox, and grandparents, Dean and Ina Fulton.
A “Special Thank You” to City of Johnson City Parks and Rec, Elizabethton Electric, and Happy Valley Middle School for their love and support during this time.
