Upper Gap Creek
The Sounds of Victory will present special singing Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at the Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church. A love offering will be received.
The church is located at 1380 Dry Creek Road.

New Liberty
New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church continues its month of Christmas celebration with Pastor Emeritus, the Rev. Ray Colbaugh preaching a Christmas message at the 11 a.m. worship service.
The service will also feature Christmas music selections by Laura Coleman, Joy Shoun, and Kennedy Morelock.
The New Liberty Kids through Teens will play and sing Christmas music in a Youth Talent Night activity during the 6 p.m. worship service.
The pastor, the Rev. Nick Colbaugh, invites everyone to attend both of these Christmas services celebrating the birth of Christ.
New Liberty church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

Powder Branch
A Country Christmas Festival will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Powder Branch Baptist Church. There will be games, cake walks, and Christmas items in the country store that you can buy tickets for.
The festival will also feature a silent auction, and a bean supper will be available for $5.
The public is invited.

Doe River
Doe River Baptist Church will have homecoming and a holiday meal Sunday following the 11 a.m. worship service at which Pastor Willie Lunsford will speak.
There will be no evening service.
Sunday, Dec. 15, at the 11 a.m. service, the choir will present the cantata “Come Let Us Adore.”
Everyone is invited.

Borderview Christian
The Adult Choir Ministry of Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, will present “Waiting for Christmas,” a new Christmas musical by Marty Parks, Sunday at the 10:45 a.m. morning worship service.
The service will be repeated at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The 22-voice choir, with the help of narrator Bob Frazier, and young Sarah, Sophia Hilbert, will present a beautiful story of the excitement of Christmas that challenges us all to make Christmas memories. Beautiful video accompanies the musical.
Everyone is cordially invited to attend these and all services at Borderview.

Elizabethton Alliance
The Elizabethton Alliance Church, located in downtown Elizabethton, will have its annual Christmas Cafe Saturday evening before the Christmas parade.
The cafe will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. and will feature Christmas music, hot chocolate, coffee, cider, and desserts.
Everyone is invited to stop by.

Big Springs Church of Christ
Scott Reynolds, pianist, will present a piano celebration, “The Birth Of A King” Sunday, Dec. 22, at 6 p.m. at the Big Springs Church of Christ.
The church is located at 1106 Gap Creek Road.

First Baptist
The Second Annual Christmas Benefit Concert at First Baptist Church will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s concert will benefit the Isaiah 117 House. A love offering will be received.
The concert will feature Fred Goodwin, Loretta Bowers, Tony Rominger, John Bunn, Beth Stevens, Emilee Whitehead, Jamie Schaff, Jared Erwin, Larry Jeffers, Mike Little, Dena Layne Bowling, Dustin Wilson, Olivia Holly, Terry Wood, Kim Pless, Marky Lewis, and the First Baptist Church Children’s Choir.
A nursery will be provided.
The Rev. Todd Hallman, pastor, invites the public to attend.

Willow Springs
The Willow Springs Baptist Church will present the cantata, “Songs of Joy,” Sunday, Dec. 15, at the 11 a.m. worship service.
The choir is directed by Bobby Smith.

First United Methodist
First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton, will celebrate the second Sunday of Advent Sunday with the message “Are We There Yet?” based on Isa. 11: 1-10.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. The Senior High Student Ministries will meet at 5:30 p.m.
Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Wednesday night Life Lessons will be at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

First Presbyterian
Dr. Bill Kirkwood will speak at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton.
An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursday with Jesus group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and yoga, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
