Tucker Stadium sits empty in this photo but on Saturday the stadium will be invaded by Cyclone Nation as the Elizabethton Cyclones will go in search of their first state title since 1938. Many fans decked out in orange will be on hand to witness history in the making. Kickoff is 4 pm local time.
Teams and fans will be converging on Cookeville this weekend for the 2019 BlueCross Bowl in different classifications and the Elizabethton Cyclones will be one of those teams as the Cyclones will take on the Springfield Yellow Jackets in the Class 4-A title game.
Elizabethton (14-0) has worked hard all week preparing for Saturday’s contest including days where the temperature didn’t rise above the 40-degree mark.
The Cyclones are looking at capturing their first title since 1938, a span covering 81 years and a wagon full of fans are expected to be ringing their cowbells loud and proud in support of the Cyclones.
Game time is 4 pm local time in Elizabethton. Best wishes to the Cyclones as they continue to build on their historic season.
