Starla Hope Hoss

Starla Hope Hoss, 33, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 14, 2019, from Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. Starla was born in Carter County to Maude Buchanan of Elizabethton and the late William David Hoss. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Hoss.
Starla was a girl with a huge smile and always wanted to make others happy. She was of the Christian faith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Maude Buchanan of Elizabethton; her sister, Jane Morton, also of Elizabethton; her son, Ezra, of Pennsylvania; and her daughter, Bella and Bella’s family, Earl and Angie Odom, Bethany and Nick Winchester, Sophia and Colton Winchester and Mildred Isaacs, all of Elizabethton.
A service to celebrate the life of Starla Hope Hoss will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 17, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Bob Shupe officiating. A eulogy will be given by Angie Odom. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Private interment services will be held in the Blevins Cemetery. The family would like to especially thank Pastor Bob Shupe, Emily Jane, Lynne Barnett, Jennifer Ensor, Billie Smith, Laura Garland, and all of the staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton and Amedysis Hospice for the wonderful care given to Starla during her illness. The family would like to suggest in lieu of flowers, keepsakes or Angel keepsakes be sent to the funeral home to give to the children.
