Freddie Ray Turner, age 75, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, departed this life on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Freddie was born in Burlington, North Carolina, to the late George and Marion Moses Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilhelmina P. Turner; and three brothers.

Freddie retired from Carter County Animal Control after 38 years of service.

A memorial service to honor the life of Freddie Ray Turner will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2019, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Steve Wilson, officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.
