The Shepherd Family will sing Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church. From Henry, Tn., the family performs and leads worship across the Southeast. The group is featured regularly on TN Public Television’s Gospel Music Showcase. The four siblings are scholarship students in the pre-college program at Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music. They include Jordan, Iris, Gideon, and Grace. All four are accomplished musicians as are their parents, Scott and Traci. Traci is a homeschool mom and wedding photographer and Scott is worship and music specialist with the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board. The family has emerged with a reputation for skillful instrumental arrangements and rich vocal harmonies across a vast array of musical styles, including bluegrass, folk, classical, traditional, contemporary Christian and more. Chris Shumate, Oak Street pastor, invites the public to attend.
