Lester John Winnie

Lester John Winnie, 45, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones after a brief battle with cancer. Lester was born in Manchester, N.Y., to Howard Winnie Sr. and Laura (Fancher) Robinson. He was a machine operator for over 15 years at NCI in Elizabethton. Lester loved his family very much and was the best father, son, son-in-law and man in their eyes.
In addition to his parents, Lester is survived by his children, Adrian Louise Winnie, Dylan Luke Phillips, Diamond Jubilee Hamilton, and Israel Na’shon Byrd; brother, Howard Winnie Jr.; sister; Judith (Anthony) Kirby; niece, Brianna Kirby (Ethan Gaida); twin nephews, Alexavior and Tyler Kirby; along with special children, Cloiea Lonea and Trinity Cardwell, and Arianna Sutters.
Lester’s family will gather to greet friends and share memories on Wednesday, October 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.wadugger.com.
