Lady Cyclones swat Johnson County 3-1 in volleyball play

After suffering a first set loss to the Johnson County Lady Longhorns 23-25. the loss acted as a wake-up call for the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones who quickly rebounded for a 3-1 win to run their season record to 13-8 in a match that took a little over two hours to complete.
 
Morgan Smith continued to be the senior leader as she collected 11 kills, five serving aces, and 13 defensive digs to propel the Lady Cyclones to the win. Hannah Boster, another senior, also played a significant part as she utilized her height on the way to 15 kills and added four defensive digs in the contest.
 
Deanna Hull and Whitley Maupin were tough on the defensive side of the net collecting 18 and 17 digs respectively. Brittany Kitchens played a huge supportive role over the four sets as she recorded seven kills and 10 defensive digs.
 
Mattie Davis (6 kills) and Kaitlin Bailey (4 kills) played solidly at the net to lend a hand to the win.
