CCCMF Meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at Hampton Christian Church, Deerfield Lane, Hampton.
All men and boys are invited to this exciting worship service conducted by Greg Odom with preaching by Greg Key, minister of West Side Christian Church, Elizabethton.
After the service there will be a time of fellowship.

First United Methodist
“A Sinner’s Best Friend” is the theme of the sermon at morning worship Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The sermon text is Luke 15: 1-10.
The service begins at 9:55 a.m. with Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Student Ministries will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Also, Wednesday Evening Life Lessons will be held in the fellowship hall at 6 p.m.
The church is located at 325 E. E St., and the pastor is the Rev. Raymond W. Amos, Sr.

Lighthouse Bible Church
Evangelist Pat Hammons will preach at the Lighthouse Bible Church at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. The choir will sing, and there will be special music by David Puckett and Patsy Cable.
The church is located on Pleasant Hill Road off Muddy Creek Road in Blountville.

Church Fellowship
The Johnson City Church of Jesus, Resurrection Power, and the Erwin Bible Holiness Church will have their quarterly fellowship Sunday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Erwin Bible Holiness Church in Erwin.
There will be old-fashioned preaching and singing.

Jesus Seminar
A Jesus Seminar on the Road program titled “God, Process, and Politics” will be held Sept. 20-21 at First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St., Elizabethton.
The seminar is open to the public and examines new ways of approaching America’s current political polarization, the realities of advancing science, “fake news,” and religious confusion and conflict. Sessions are nondenominational and do not advocate a particular theological point of view. Registration is accepted online and at the door (credit cards accepted). Sims Hill
Sims Hill Christian Church will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a catered dinner Oct. 19, in the fellowship hall. All former ministers and members are invited to attend.
Reminiscing will take place at 4 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m.

EHS Class of 1969 worship
The Elizabethton High School Graduating Class of 1969 will have a reunion worship service Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at T.A. Dugger Junior High Auditorium.
Various class members who are ministers or involved with Christian music will be involved. Kenneth Jordan, minister at Willow Springs Baptist Church, will bring the message. Joe Austin, minister, Harvest Church of God, Madison, Va., will present his “faith story.”
Special music will be presented by Danny and Teresa Bowers Parker, Nancy Jane Earnest, Deborah Evans Griffith, and the Class of 1969 Choir.
An offering will be received to assist the Carter County Relay for Life in honor and in memory of Class of 1969 cancer survivors and victims. The service will include a special memorial video tribute to 39 deceased class members.
Families of those deceased class members are invited to attend as well as a hearty welcome to the general public.

Prayer Tabernacle
Homecoming will be observed Sept. 22 at Prayer Tabernacle Church. The service will begin at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Morefield preaching.
Mike Presnell will present special singing.
A covered dish meal will be served following the service.

Friendship Free Will
Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, Hampton, will have a song service on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m.
The Big Creek Quartet and Sounds of Victory will sing.
The fish fry will be held in the fellowship hall following the singing.

First Presbyterian
The Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, pastor, will present the sermon “Christian Mysticism, Part II: Teresa of Avila” at the Sunday morning worship service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. Scripture reading will be Psalms 19.
The service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by dinner on the groups at 12 noon.
An Education Hour for all ages will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon; Exercise Class Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and yoga, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
