To the Editor:
The Board of Directors of GO BETSY would like to recognize and thank our sponsors and supporters of the “Meet Carter County Festival.”
We are truly thankful for the financial support from Modern Woodmen of America, Northeast Community Credit Union, Price and Ramey Insurance, and Carter County Bank. We also want to recognize the fabulous work of our media sponsors, The Elizabethton Star and WBEJ AM/FM and thank WCYB for the media coverage. A big thank you is in order to Cabela’s for donating children’s products and TWRA along with Carter County Hunting and Fishing Association and Roan Mountain Volunteer Fire Department for making the free kids fishing day at Roan Mountain a success.
We thank Lowe’s and Walmart for supporting our raffle which helps fund our community projects and to the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department for sponsoring the free family movie.
We also want to give heartfelt appreciation to the bands for the excellent day of music, Tim Nave, Dusty Travelers, Julie Williams and friends, Tony Vines, Boozy Creek Grass, Fiddling Leona and J P Mathes, and Tennessee Champagne.
In closing we also want to thank all of the volunteers, craft vendors, commercial businesses, local nonprofits and food vendors for their support and participation.
