Eastview Free Will
Eastview Free Will Baptist Church, 810 Canterbury Road, Johnson City, will celebrate homecoming Sunday at the 11 a.m. service.
The message will be presented by the Rev. Don Hobson, and special singing will be presented by Carl Fleenor.
Pastor Steve Dingus and the congregation invite the public to attend.

Willow Springs
Willow Springs Baptist Church will observe homecoming Sunday with services beginning at 10 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Kenneth Jordan, will preach, and at 11 a.m. special music will be presented by Sacred Harmony. A meal will follow in the fellowship hall.
There will be no evening service.
All former members and pastors are invited.

Lynn Valley Baptist
Lynn Valley Baptist Church will have their free clothing giveaway on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The church is located at 1367 Broad St., Elizabethton.

Poplar Grove
Poplar Grove Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday. Special music and worship will be provided by Sacred Journey at the 11 a.m. service.
A fellowship luncheon will follow.
Poplar Grove Baptist is located on Highway 91, Stoney Creek.

Sims Hill Christian Church will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a catered dinner Oct. 19 in the fellowship hall. All former ministers and members are invited to attend.
Reminiscing will take place at 4 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m.

First Free Will
Dr. Greg Patten of Hello World Radio will be at First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton, Saturday, Sept. 7, and for both the morning and evening service Sunday.
A former news anchor for one of NBC’s most watched news affiliates, Patten was one of the country’s top DJs, who now pastors and presents the news from a conservative Christian point of view.
The service Saturday will begin at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday services are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The Rev. Nathan Jennings is pastor.

First Presbyterian
A Jesus Seminar on the Road program titled “God, Process and Politics” will be held Sept. 20-21 at First Presbyterian Church, 119 West F St., Elizabethton.
The seminar is open to the public and examines new ways of approaching America’s current political polarization, the realities of advancing science, “fake news,” and religious confusion and conflict. Sessions are nondenominational and do not advocate a particular theological point of view. Registration is accepted online and at the door (credit cards accepted). Cost: $75 for the weekend; $20-$30 for individual sessions.

Oak Grove Baptist

The sermon “A Second Helping of Grace” based on John 21: 4-14, will be presented Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton, at morning worship. The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. Communion will also be observed.
Sunday School is at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries Group will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries Group will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Also, Wednesday Evening Life Lessons will be at 6 p.m.
