Hampton hits links at Tri-Cities Golf Course in a four-way match BY IVAN SANDERS

The Hampton golf team participated in a recent match at Tri-Cities Golf Course in Blountville with teams from Sullivan East, Virginia High, and the Science Hill JV golf team.
Behind a round of 40 from Izaak Hill, the Bulldogs finished in third place behind the ‘Toppers 165 and Virginia High’s 171 as the Hampton team finished the day with a 175.
Besides Hill’s round, Hampton’s Mitchell Tolley fired a 42 while Josh Owens carded a 46 and Avery Hill rounded out the team score with a 47.
Science Hill’s Ari Madhok and Virginia High’s Gavin Austin tied for medalist honors with a one-over-par 37 for the nine-hole match.
