McKinney finishes summer swim season strong

Stacey McKinney finished the summer swimming season with the Commerce Tiger Sharks at the 2019 Georgia State Swim Meet in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on July 20, 2019.
 
McKinney’s strong competitive swimming netted her two first-place wins and finished second twice in Jefferson, GA qualifying her for four events at the state championships.
At the state meet in Fort Oglethorpe, McKinney captured three state wins overall- first place in girls (7-8) 100-yard freestyle relay team, (7-8) 25-yard backstroke in a time of 24:15, and (7-8) 100-yard individually medley.
She had a great first season swimming for the Tiger Sharks.
McKinney is the daughter of Jack C. and Kerri McKinney from Commerce, GA and the granddaughter of Christine McKinney of the Central Community in Johnson City.
Great grandparents are Thomas and Stacey Morgan from the Ripshin community of Roan Mountain and Raymond and Barbra Cassidy from Queens, NY.
