Doris (Kay) Loveless died Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
A native of Carter County, Mrs. Loveless was born to the late Andrew “Andy” Murray and Eva Pierce Murray, April 7, 1928.
She was an active member of Oak Street Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School Class. In earlier years, she served her church as pianist and organist. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and Steed College.
Mrs. Loveless was a former employee of John Hancock Insurance Company and retired from Beaunit Fibers Shipping Office after 27 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Loveless, after 45 years of marriage, a brother, Phil Murray, and a stepdaughter, Jerri Lipora.
Survivors include a sister, Betty Merritt of Elizabethton; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Louise Murray of Dandridge, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Linda Gorman and husband Ken of West Chester, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to wonderful neighbors, Marsha and Jim Hawk, Pat and Bob Oliver, Teresa and John Fenner, her very special friend, Teresa Holsclaw, Pearl Smith, and her special cat, Samantha, for her love and compassion.
Mrs. Loveless was a donor of life to the Quillen College of Medicine.
No service or visitation will be held at this time.
