In celebration of Nursing Home Week, The Waters of Roan Highlands residents and employees enjoyed a week full of a variety of events. The theme for the week, Live Soulfully, kicked off on Monday with The Waters Gardening Party. Tuesday was a spa day for residents who received Manicures and Satin Hands and Lips from Mary Kay Associate Martha Burleson. The employees also got five free haircuts sponsored by local beauticians Peggy Estep and Pat Roark.
On Wednesday the theme for the day was Tasting Foods, sponsored by Caris Healthcare, who sponsored it with sandwiches, chips and tea. The Waters of Roan Highlands provided strawberries, blackberries, apples and a cheese platter with crackers. On Thursday the residents and employees enjoyed a petting zoo with David Mule, Paige Miller and Sandy in therapy. Friday concluded the week-long event with a cookout with hot dogs, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and fresh fruit.
